Davis, CA — November 30, 2016 — Evolve BioSystems, Inc. has hired Kraft to brand the company’s Consumer and Hospital microbiome-based products to solve infant gut dysbiosis. The agency scope will also include consumer and physician research, logo identity, packaging, and brand architecture.
“Kraft brings a strong strategic mindset and fresh creative ideas, specifically in unique packaging solutions. As a partner in building our brand, they mirror our entrepreneurial drive and passion to change lives,” said Chief Operating Officer, Tim Brown. “Although we are a start-up, our team brings over 170 years of experience in building brands with great agency partners. When we narrowed it down to the four finalists, our team unanimously agreed on Kraft; they are a strategic extension of our team.”
The company’s immediate focus is to commercialize products for newborn gut health, a unique offering based on the important and emerging field of microbiome science. “A growing body of clinical research indicates that early programming of immune and metabolic systems by the gut microbiome is a key component to lifelong optimal health. The team is excited to work with Kraft as we transition from feasibility and proof of concept, to a series of microbiome-based product launches in the US and around the world,” says Dr. David Kyle, Evolve’s CEO.
“Evolve has developed and tested products that can establish, restore, and maintain a healthy infant gut microbiome and we are thrilled to be part of this breakthrough development,” says Paris Hinson, Co-CEO and Chief Creative Officer of Kraft. “We are not only tasked with a developing a new brand voice and identity, but it will be important for us to inject the brand sentiment into every interaction with consumers, physicians and healthcare influencers; from logo, to on-hold scripts, to collateral, packaging and advertising. Our Evolve clients are truly allowing us to affect the brand experience in its totality.”
The agency previously worked with Evolve on consumer research. “We conducted research across the United States, talking to expectant as well as recent moms, to understand intellectual and emotional triggers that would help to articulate a relevant and effective brand essence. We are extremely excited that Evolve has trusted us with the important task of bringing a cohesive message to moms around the globe. Healthcare is personal to our team and we understand how intimate and stressful a mother’s choice of product for her infant can be,” says Antonio Patric Buchanan, Co-CEO, Chief Strategic Officer for Kraft.
